North of the Border Tour
This tour is set mostly in the province of Ulster, where the first human settlement recorded in Ireland, was some 8,000 years ago, and the natives would have survived by spearing wild animals and fish with primitive stone age weapons. Northern Irelands population is almost double that of the rest of the country, based on heads per square mile. It is home to a spectacular coastline and on a clear day you can see the Scottish coast.
No less than six American Presidents claim roots in Ulster. It is said that during World War Two, a USA airforce plane carrying airmen and their wives stopped in Belfast to refuel, one lady went into labour and a baby was delivered, "Mohammed Ali". How true this is we're not sure, but we'll lay claim to an Irish born heavyweight champion until proven otherwise.
